Wide open spaces

It’s not often I get to use a wide angle lens, mainly because they tend to exaggerate size and proportions massively, therefore, not ideal for taking pictures of people for portraits. I doubt anyone would thank me for producing a caricature of of their facial features! However, theses lenses are great for architecture, real estate, landscapes, extremely large groups of people and indeed astrophotography. For the photography geeks, these pictures were taken with a Sony 14mm G Master, so it would be no surprise to hear me say how amazing this lens is. The low resolution pictures you see here on the Internet do not do the pictures any justice, they are sharp from edge to edge even with the lens wide open. (Anyone who has visited the Manchester Library will appreciate how difficult it is to get this much of the main entrance into a single shot)
